James Mason and I were walking along the Bayou in Houston circa 1984 when Monk spotted this pipe, high above the water. He simply had to try to walk across it, that strange circus performer inside him coming out. James shot several pictures.
Monk started whinning when he realized he could not turn around and he no longer wanted to keep going. He sat down at that point and James took this picture. Then he jumped off the pipe into the water.---FrankHartzell
